American superstar Tatyana McFadden is looking to add two more gold medals to her tally when she competes on Thursday (15 September).

McFadden, who will take to the track as part of a thrilling day's action at the Olympic Stadium, is hoping to triumph in the women's 5,000m T54 and 4x400m relay.

But she is not the only athlete hoping to steal the show.

The men’s 100m T42 will pit Britain’s Richard Whitehead against Australia’s Scott Reardon in a fascinating clash, while the women’s 200m T44 will see the Netherlands’ Marlou van Rhijn race France’s Marie Amelie le Fur and Germany’s Imgard Bensusan.

Thursday's morning’s men’s 400m T44 final should also be a classic if Wednesday's (14 September) heats are anything to go by.

Elsewhere, it is semi-final day in wheelchair basketball. In the women’s competition, defending champions Germany face the Netherlands at 15:15, and before that Great Britain meet the USA. The men’s competition will see Spain meet Great Britain and the USA play Turkey.

The first-ever gold medals will be presented in canoe this morning at Lagoa, while Brazil will meet China and Argentina face Iran in the semi-finals of the football 5-a-side.

There are some thrilling semi-finals in store in goalball, too. The women’s tournament features Brazil versus China and USA against Turkey. The final four in the men’s competition will see Brazil face China and Lithuania up against Sweden.

Medals will also be presented today in archery, cycling road, equestrian, swimming, wheelchair fencing and wheelchair tennis.
