    National Boccia Championships held in South Korea

    It was the largest boccia event to take place in the Asian country, with a total of 300 participants.

    Ten Asian athletes who made history in Rio

    The 10th edition of the National Boccia Championships was held in Jeju province, South Korea, between 7-10 October, with 300 participants, including athletes, officials and operational staff, making it the biggest boccia event to have taken place in the Asian country.

    Rio 2016 champion Ho Won Jeong and London 2012 gold medallist Ye Jin Choi took part in the event which was organised by the Korea Boccia Federation and the Jeju Province Boccia Federation.

    At last month’s Paralympic Games, Jeong took gold in the mixed individual BC3 and silver, together with Choi and Han Soo Kim, in the mixed pairs BC3.

    Road Cycling National Championships contested

    A total of 100 participants took part in this event held in the South Korean city of Yeoju. Rio 2016 silver medallist Lee Do-yeon and Sydney 2000 champion Jin Yong-sik were amongst the competitors.

    Seo Su-yeon receives MBN Best Female Athlete of the Month

    In recognition of her performance at Latin America’s first Paralympic Games, the 30-year-old table tennis player was given this award. Su-yeon won silver in the women’s singles 1-2 and bronze in the team 1-3, in Rio, and promised to continue working hard ahead of Tokyo 2020. The MBN award began in 2012 to foster women’s participation in sports.
