The European Para Youth Games 2015 will be held in Varazdin, Croatia, between 16-19 July, featuring five different sports - athletics, boccia, swimming, table tennis and sitting volleyball - for athletes with an impairment.

Organised by Croatian Paralympic Committee, this year's Games will welcome athletes of all impairment types born in or after 1995. International rules of the IPC and International Sports Federations will apply in the competition.

In athletics events will be held in 100m, 800 m, long jump, shot put, discus and javelin. Boccia athletes will compete in singles and in teams, while in table tennis standing athletes, those in wheelchairs and competitors with an intellectual impairment will play singles. Disciplines in swimming are yet to be defined, but in sitting volleyball athletes will compete in mixed discipline.

The host city of Varazdin, located 60km north of Zagreb, is famous for its beautiful rich monumental and artistic heritage, which is why it is called the Baroque City.

These characteristics were taken into consideration while designing the new logo for the event which consists of different icons representing para-athletes which, by overlapping form a heart, represents togetherness.

Varaždin can also be called the city of Paralympians, simply because through the years it has hosted a large number of international sporting events as well as competitions. Besides that it has lots of sport clubs and centres, and most importantly, local authorities that understand the meaning of investing in accessibility for their fellow citizens with impairments.
