• Kazakhstan made its Paralympic debut at the Winter Games in 1994 in Lillehammer. The NPC has competed in every Paralympic Winter Games since.

• At Lillehammer 1994 Kazakhstan was represented by two athletes participating in cross-country skiing and biathlon.

• Kazakhstan has only participated in cross-country skiing and biathlon at the Paralympic Winter Games since their debut in 1994.

• Kazakhstan, together with Liechtenstein, is the only NPC to have won a medal at the Paralympic Winter Games, without having won a medal at the summer edition.

• Kazakhstan has won one medal at the Paralympic Winter Games, a silver medal for Lubov Vorobieva in women's 10km cross-country skiing classic style B2 in 1994.

• The only woman to have participated for Kazakhstan at the Winter Paralympics was Vorobieva (in cross-country and biathlon in 1994).

• Kazakhstan’s best result in a summer sport at the Paralympics is a fourth place by Yuriy Kvitkov in men's pentathlon P13 in 2004.

• Oleg Syssolyatin competed in cross-country skiing and biathlon in 2006. He was the only athlete from Kazakhstan to compete in 2010, with a 26th place in the men’s 10km cross-country skiing classic style standing as his best result.

• Zeinolla Seitov is the only Kazakh athlete to participate in both the summer and winter Paralympics. He competed in nine events - six in cross-country skiing at the 2002 and 2006 Winter Games and three in athletics at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens.

• Sergey Lozhkin has competed in eight events in cross-country skiing and biathlon at the Paralympic Winter Games in 1994 and 1998; the most for an athlete from Kazakhstan.
