    The Games are sadly over but here a few statistics to keep you entertained about the Games.

    3:48.29 –Algerian Abdellatif Baka’s winning time in the men’s 1,500m T13 – more than one second faster than the time it took American Matthew Centrowitz to win Olympic gold a month earlier.

    1:38.44 – The time clocked by China’s Lihong Zou and US racer Tatyana McFadden…after 26 miles of racing in the women’s marathon T54. The world record stands at 1:38.07.

    6 – The number of medals won by Tatyana McFadden, the most successful Para athlete of the Games, with 4 gold and two silver.

    14 – The age of the youngest Para athletics competitor at Rio 2016, Australia’s Tamsin Colley, who celebrated her birthday in Brazil.

    24 – The number of years the 100m T47 world record had stood for, before being broken by Brazil’s Petrucio Ferreira, who clocked 10.67 in the heats then 10.57 in the final.

    32 - The number of Para athletics gold medals won by China, who topped the medals table.

    63 – The age of the eldest competitor, Germany’s discus F55 silver medallist Marianne Buggenhagen.

    69 – The number of Para athletics world records set at Rio 2016.

    146 – The number of participating teams – including, for the first time, the Independent Paralympic Athletes (IPA) team, representing Para athletes with refugee and asylee status.

    177 – The number of Para athletics events – 7 more than London 2012.

    1136 – The total number of Para athletes at Rio 2016.
