    Norway: 10 facts on the Sochi 2014 Paralympics

    When it comes to the Paralympic Winter Games, Norway have arguably had the most success of any country.

    - Norway lead all countries in medals at the Paralympic Winter Games with 315, which is one more than Austria.

    - Norway have won the most Paralympic winter golds with 134. Austria are next on the list with 102 golds.

    - Norway lead the medals table in most golds for women (50), but are in second behind the USA (124) in most total medals in women's events (121).

    - Norway have won 155 medals, including 77 gold medals in cross-country skiing. Their second best sport is ice sledge speed racing with 128 medals (44 golds).

    - The 77 gold medals are the most for any country in cross-country skiing. Only the USA (89) and Austria (88) have won more gold medals in a single sport, both in alpine skiing.

    - Ragnhild Myklebust has won 22 gold medals (and 27 total medals) to become the second most successful Paralympian behind the USA's Trischa Zorn, who won 32 gold medals (46 total) in swimming.

    - Ragnhild Myklebust's 16 gold medals in cross-country skiing are the most for an athlete in one sport at a Winter Games.

    - Norway won just six medals (one gold) at Vancouver 2010 and five medals (one gold) at Torino 2006, making their past two Paralympic Winter Games appearances two of their weakest.

    - Nils-Erik Ulset won four of Norway's six medals in 2010, including gold in the men’s individual biathlon 12.5km standing event.

    - Norway have medalled in ice sledge hockey at every Winter Games since the sport made its Paralympic debut in 1994.
