    World Para Snowboard Championships

    The last major event ahead of the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games is taking place in Big White, Canada, and will run until 8 January. Around 64 of the world’s best snowboarders, coming from 15 countries, are competing.

    World Para Nordic Skiing Championships

    Featuring around 135 of the world’s best biathletes and cross-country skiers from 25 countries, the last major competition before the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games will be held in Finsterau, Germany, between 10-19 February.

    Para Snowboard World Cup

    After the World Championships, La Molina, Spain, will stage the season’s third Para Snowboard World Cup, from 14-18 February, with competitions in snowboard-cross and banked slalom.

    Fazza Dubai Para Powerlifting World Cup

    The season will kick off in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 27 February-4 March, with the eighth edition of this event. It will serve as preparation for the athletes ahead of the Mexico 2017 World Championships, between 30 September-6 October.

    World Shooting Para Sport World Cup

    The first shooting Para sport event of the year will take place in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, between 19-28 February.

    IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup 2017

    The season will open on 15 February in Eger, Hungary. The event will run until the 20th. The complete 2017 IWAS Wheelchair Fencing competition schedule is available online.

    World Marathon Major

    The first Abbott World Marathon Major of the year will be held in Tokyo, Japan, on 26 February.

    Para Alpine Skiing Europa Cup

    The season moves to Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, with skiers competing in giant slalom between 13-14 February. The fifth and penultimate Europa Cup will take place in Sljeme, Croatia, from 16-16 February, with slalom events.

    International Para ice hockey tournament

    Between 17 February-4 March, Torino, Italy, will stage the latest edition of this event. Canada, Norway, Italy and South Korea are expected to line-up.

    Lignano Master Open

    The Italian Table Tennis Association will organise this event in the city of Lignano from 27 February-4 March. Men’s and women’s singles and team events will be contested.
