The French T44 athlete won gold, silver and bronze at the London 2012 Paralympic Games - here are five facts about the talented long jumper and sprinter.
1.Le Fur broke the world record in the women’s long jump T44 this year, leaping 5.48m in June – one centimetre further than the previous mark held by Great Britain’s Stef Reid.
2.Following her medal winning performances at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, the 26-year-old had a gym named after her in her hometown of Naveil.
3.The Frenchwoman also holds the world record in the 800m T44 – a mark she set back in 2005.
4.Le Fur was a keen middle distance runner as a youngster, having taken part in athletics since the age of six. She won several regional titles, then in 2003 recorded the fourth fastest 1,000m time in France, clocking 2:58.
5.In 2013 she was named a Knight of the Legion of Honour in France.
The IPC Athletics World Championships will take place in Doha, Qatar, between 21-31 October, attracting 1,400 athletes from 100 countries.
