In an action packed day, the ever-increasing crowds will be able to witness quality wheelchair tennis from five different divisions as the battles intensify.
Men’s singles
Sunday (11 September) will be the first chance to see two-time Paralympic gold medallist Shingo Kunieda as he begins the defence of his title, which he won for a second successive time at London 2012.
He begins the day’s proceedings on Centre Court at 11:00am (local time), before two-time Parapan Am Games singles champion Gustavo Fernandez gets his Paralympic campaign underway.
Frenchman and London singles silver medallist Stephane Houdet is in action on Court Three, while second seed Joachim Gerard opens up play on Court Seven at 11:00am (local time). Fellow France wheelchair tennis star and fourth seed Nicolas Peifer gets his Paralympics underway after Gerard’s match.
2016’s multi Grand Slam singles and doubles champ Gordon Reid will be looking to go further than he did in 2012. He goes second on Court Two.
Women’s singles
Women’s singles quarter-final spots are up for grabs on day three, with the single’s division continuing to wow and entertain.
All four Dutch stars are in action once again, as they go in search of maintaining a 100 per cent record of a Netherlands singles gold in every Paralympics.
Women’s doubles
The women’s singles are not one to be missed, but neither are the quarter-finals of the women’s doubles.
The two Dutch duos seeded first and second will be looking to progress in their search for glory, while Jordanne Whiley and Lucy Shuker – as well as Japan’s Yui Kamiji and Miho Nijo – will also make their first appearance in the doubles division.
Men’s doubles
Places in the quarter-finals are up for grabs in the men’s doubles as the second round of matches get underway.
Britain’s Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid are the first evening match on Centre Court as they look to build on their doubles Grand Slam success at Wimbledon from earlier in the year.
Fellow GB duo Marc McCarroll and David Phillipson will have to pull out all the stops to beat top seeds Stephane Houdet and Nicolas Peifer of France, fourth on Court Two.
