US wheelchair rugby selection camp to take place
05.01.2017Players are vying for selection for the US team for the 2017 Americas Championship.
A group of 26 athletes will be attending the 2017 National Team Selection Camp in Birmingham, Alabama, this week (4-8 January) trying out for spots on the 2017 US wheelchair rugby team.
After winning silver at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, the Committee will nominate up to 16 athletes that will train and compete leading up to this summer’s 2017 Americas Championship. The zonal competition will be the only opportunity for the top two finishers to earn an automatic qualification to the 2018 World Championships which will be held in Sydney, Australia.
