- 2016 BWF European Championships - Gold: singles, doubles, mixed doubles SL4
Lucas Mazur has proven to be the best badminton player in the SL4 category, finishing 2015 as the world No.1 in men’s singles and doubles, and mixed doubles.
In 2016, the Frenchman won the European titles in all three events – singles, doubles and mixed doubles - in Beek, the Netherlands, and claimed six gold medals in the six events he took part in Turkey and Ireland. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) chose him the Male Para Badminton Player of the Year.
If he maintains this level of play, it will be difficult for his opponents to dethrone him at the 11th BWF Para Badminton World Championships in Ulsan, South Korea, this year.
