The Boccia International Sports Federation – BISFed – has begun a consultation into potential rule changes following the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

The move follows proposals made by members and the boccia community is now being invited to feedback.

The consultation will run for approximately two weeks with new topics to comment on published at BISFed’s website.

It began on Friday (23 September) with rule changes that the committee are ready to make and will be implemented into the rule book. Further topics that BISFed requires input on will be published in the coming days.

An article on BISFed’s website stated: “The Rules Committee’s desire is to have the rules be as fair as possible for everyone, and to be as clear as possible for everyone. With your input we will be able to steer into this direction.”

More details, including full details of the proposed rule change topics for each day, can be found at BISFed’s website.
