The US women have managed to break China’s perfection winning gold in sitting volley, dominating the final 3-0. The Chinese had won all three Games since the women’s event was added to the Paralympic programme. Each time, they had beaten the USA.

Nozimakhon Kayumova (UZB) signed a new world record in the women's javelin throw-F13. The Uzbek - who before today had a personal best of 43.31m - threw an outstanding 44.58m.

Germany's Markus Rehm didn't feel the pressure of being the ultimate favorite in the men's long jump-T44 final. Rehm signed a new Paralympics record jumping at 8.21m. Silver for Dutch Hertog (7.29m) and bronze for another German, Streng (7.13m).

Daniel Dias has won another gold medal in Rio conquering the Men's 100m Freestyle - S5 Final. At his 4th gold medal in Rio, Dias finished at 1:10.11. Silver for American Roy Perkins and bronze for British Andrew Mullen.

The USA have won gold in men's wheelchair basketball beating Spain in the final by 68-52. Great Britain clinched bronze beating Turkey 82-76.
