The third IPC Athletics Grand Prix series concludes on Sunday at London’s former Olympic stadium. Ahead of the action, here are five things you might not know about the British capital.
1. For over a century, London was the most densely populated city on earth. It was overtaken by Tokyo in 1925.
2. Rugby, tug-of-war and the standing jump were all sports in London's first summer Olympics in 1908.
3. The minute hand on the clock Big Ben travels 210 miles every year.
4. London is the first city to stage the Summer Olympics three times - in 1908, 1948 and 2012, where the athletics competition was staged at the Olympic Stadium, home of this year's IPC Athletics Grand Prix Final. The venue also staged the athletics events in the Paralympic Games three years ago.
5. In 2016, the Olympic Stadium will become the new home of English Premier League club West Ham United and in 2017 will host the IPC Athletics and IAAF World Championships.
