Spanish swimmers are preparing to travel to Glasgow, Great Britain, for the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships.

The team leave on Friday (10 July), ready for final training ahead of the start of the competition on Monday (13 July).

Among the stars are Sarai Gascon, Israel Oliver and Michelle Alonso, who will be defending their world titles from two years ago in Montreal, Canada.

Similarly Teresa Perales, Richard Oribe, Ricardo Ten, Miguel Luque and Sebastián Rodríguez are hoping to top the podium and assess their form with just over one year to go until the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Miguel Angel Martinez Tajuelo, Jose Antonio Mari, David Levecq, Marta Gómez and Julia Castelló, medallists from 2013 and the 2014 IPC Swimming European Championships are also aiming for top three finishes.

A young development team will also make the journey to Glasgow, including Nuria Marques, Oscar Salguero, Ariadna Edo, Ivan Salguero and Mary Delgado. Isabel Yinghua Hernandez, Antonio Ponce and Jose Faustino Afonso round off the team selection.

The Spanish team will leave in three groups from Madrid, Barcelona and Tenerife. Swimmers in the capital, including Oliver and Perales, will participate in a couple of events with sponsors before leaving.

They will attend the signing of the renewal of the sponsorship with ADOP Plan and shortly before the flight to Glasgow will undergo a final medical examination at the headquarters of Sanitas, the Spanish para-sport medical service.

Fans in Spain can watch live coverage of Glasgow 2015 at internet TV platform Grada1.tv, with Spanish commentary for the first time.

Coverage from the heats will be shown from 10am-1.30pm (CET) every day with the finals from 7pm.

Commentary will be provided by Israel Iniguez, Carlos Mateos and José Joaquín Brotons, with technical commentary provided by Paralympic swimmer Carla Casals.

Videos on demand will also be available every day.
