Edo and Ivan Ariadna Salguero are also youngsters hoping to make their mark in Glasgow, whilst the competition will see the international debut of Jose Faustino Afonso.

Multiple Paralympic and Worlds medallists Teresa Perales, Sarai Gascon, Michelle Alonso, Ricardo Ten, Richard Oribe and Israel Oliver are just some of the highlights of the Spanish squad heading to the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow, Great Britain.

A total of 21 swimmers make up the team who will be at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre from 13-19 July for one of the biggest qualification opportunities for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Also making the journey are Tajuelo Miguel Angel Martinez, Julia Castello, Marta Gomez and Isabel and Antonio Hernadez Ponce Yinghua. Whilst they have yet to medal at the Paralympic level, they carry a wealth of experience from Games, World and European Championships.

The group also features the young talents of Nuria Marques, Maria Delgado and Oscar Salguero, who medalled at the 2014 IPC Swimming European Championships in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

Edo and Ivan Ariadna Salguero are also youngsters hoping to make their mark in Glasgow, whilst the competition will see the international debut of Jose Faustino Afonso.

The team continued their preparations for the Worlds in Mataro, Spain, from 6-7 June at the national championships where 14 national records were broken.

Castello, Tajuelo, and Alonso each won five gold medals, and Ander Romarate, David Levecq, Oribe and Marques, stormed to four wins.

Four time European gold medallist and reigning women’s 100m freestyle S5 Paralympic champion Perales, who is on the hunt for her first World Championships title having missed the 2010 and 2013 editions, decided to focus on the shorter distance events in Mataro.

Fans can follow the action from Glasgow 2015 online at www.paralimpicos.es via live streaming and on television on TVE with a 30 minute daily highlights show.

Tickets for the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships are still available priced at GBP 10/15 for heats/finals, with children under 16 going free (terms and conditions apply). Heats start at 10am and finals at 6pm every day between 13-19 July.

Media accreditation is also still available.
