• Denmark made its Paralympic Winter Games debut in 1980 and has participated in each edition since.
• Denmark has won six Winter Paralympic medals: two golds, one silver and three bronze medals.
• Denmark's two Winter Paralympic gold medals have been won by the same person. Anne-Mette Bredahl triumphed in biathlon in 1994 and in cross-country skiing in 1998. Bredahl also won all of Denmark's three bronze medals at the Winter Paralympics.
• Denmark's silver medal at the Winter Paralympics was won by Lars Nielsen in alpine skiing in 1992. He was the first Dane to win a Winter Paralympic medal and to date the only male participant from his country to collect one.
• Denmark has won 98 gold medals at the Summer Paralympics, which combined with the two from the Winter Paralympics, gives them 100 total.
• At the London Paralympics 2012, Denmark picked up one gold medal, by Jacky Christiansen in the men's shot put F42/44.
• Denmark's most Paralympic gold medals have come in athletics (39) and swimming (37). No other sport has landed Denmark more than five Paralympic gold medals.
• Denmark's most successful Paralympic participant ever is Connie Hansen. She won nine gold medals and 14 total in athletics from 1984 to 1992.
