Telefonica Foundation launched a comic series that tells the story of Spain’s swimming legend Teresa Perales, with 22 internationally recognised cartoonists taking part in the process such as Paula Benet, Purita Campos, Juan Diaz Faes, Marmen Moreu, Javier Oliveras, Miriam Persand, Joaquin Reyes and David Sanchez.

Apart from six-time Paralympic champion Perales, Telefonica Foundation Director of Communications Lydia Coste and project’s co-ordinator Borja Crespo attended the ceremony in which the series was presented.

Since she became an ambassador of the Telefonica Foundation, Perales has taken part in different social, educational, social and cultural initiatives.

Before competing at September’s Paralympic Games in Rio, Perales aims to win the 2016 ‘Princesa de Asturias del Deporte’ award, which is given to prominent Spanish sportswomen.

The comics are free of cost and can be downloaded from Telefonica Foundation website.
