The programme follows Team USA across North America as it prepares to defend its 2010 Paralympic gold medal at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games, which run from 7-16 March.

The 2014 US Paralympic ice sledge hockey team will be featured in a one-hour documentary entitled “Ice Warriors: USA Sled Hockey,” that will debut on Monday (24 February) on PBS at 21:00 CST/22:00 EST.

The programme follows Team USA across North America as it prepares to defend its 2010 Paralympic gold medal at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games, which run from 7-16 March.

Additionally, the show will be available online in its entirety the following day.

All of Team USA’s ice sledge hockey games will be streamed live on Paralympic.org and TeamUSA.org during the Paralympics, and NBC and NBC Sports Network will also air some of the competition.

Seventeen players were named to the USA’s sledge hockey team last December. Seven players return from the 2010 US squad that captured the gold medal at the Vancouver 2010 Games.

The list includes goaltender Steve Cash, who was named the top goaltender of the Vancouver 2010 after not allowing a single goal in five games, and defenceman Taylor Chace, who was named the best defenceman in Vancouver.

More recently, the USA won the silver medal at the 2013 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships in Goyang, South Korea, meaning they will enter Sochi 2014 as the No. 2 seed behind Canada.
