There's a gold medal for Mexico in the women's -70kg judo final as Lenia Ruvalcaba Alvarez clinches victory against Alana Martins Maldonado of Brazil. The medals are now being decided in the men's -90kg category.

Martin Schulz is the Paralympic Games' first triathlon gold medal winner. He finished in 1:02:37, beating Canada's Stefan Daniel (1:03:05) and Spain's Jairo Ruiz Lopez (1:03:14) in the PT4.

In the velodrome, the Netherlands' Alyda Norbruis has clinched gold in the women's C1-2-3 500m time trial. Australia's Amanda Reid and China's Zhenling Song took silver and bronze respectively.
