    World Para Alpine Skiing Championships

    Around 140 of the world’s best skiers, coming from 30 countries, will gather in Tarvisio, Italy, from 22-31 January, for the last major event before the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. More information is available on World Para Alpine Skiing’s website.

    IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup

    Skiers will take the slopes in Innerkrems, Austria, from 11-15 January, and then head to Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, between 18-20 January. Find more information online.

    IPC Alpine Skiing Europa Cup

    The season moves to Veysonnaz, Switzerland, from 7-9 January, with competitions in super-G, giant slalom and slalom. More information is available online.

    IPC Snowboard World Cup

    The athletes will compete in La Molina, Spain, between 16-21 January seeking to test themselves ahead of the season’s biggest competition, the 2017 World Para Snowboard Championships in Big White, Canada, from 1-17 February.

    IPC Snowboard Europa Cup

    The season’s second stop will be in Les Angles, France, from 12-15 January, before flying to Rogla, Slovenia, for the finals.

    IPC Nordic Skiing World Cup

    Skiers will compete in a new World Cup venue in Western Centre, Ukraine, from 13-20 January, in the lead-up to the World Para Nordic Skiing Championships in Finsterau, Germany, from 11-19 February.

    Australian Open

    The top-ranked wheelchair tennis players will travel to Melbourne for the first Grand Slam of the year, from 25-28 January. Great Britain’s Gordon Reid, the Netherlands’ Jiske Griffioen and Australia’s Dylan Alcott will look to defend their respective titles from 2016 in the men’s, women’s and quad’s singles.

    Apia International Sydney Open

    The last stop for the wheelchair tennis players before the Australian Open will be the year’s first ITF Super Series, to be held in Sydney, Australia, between 11-15 January.
