The tournament is the largest World Championships for women in the history of the sport and will feature 12 teams, with the host nation pursuing a record-setting seventh straight podium performance.

Wheelchair Basketball Canada is now accepting applications for press accreditation from members of the media for the 2014 IWBF Women’s World Wheelchair Basketball Championships, which run from 20-28 June at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in downtown Toronto.

The tournament is the largest World Championships for women in the history of the sport and will feature 12 teams, with the host nation pursuing a record-setting seventh straight podium performance.

The tournament will also mark the first time the women’s championship has been held separately from the men’s since 1994.

Accreditation is reserved for members, including journalists, print media, photographers, radio, TV and news agencies. Those seeking accreditation must be employed or contracted by a media organisation. Accreditation will grant media access designated media areas, including the mixed zone and a media work room.
