The IPC Swimming World Championships will be held from 12-18 August in Montreal, Canada, a city famed for its sporting heritage and vibrant culture. Around 650 athletes from 60 countries are expected to attend the event which will be the first major gathering of international swimming stars following the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Craig Spence, IPC Media and Communications Director, said: “Montreal is a fantastic venue for this, the first major international competition for athletes since London, where less than a year ago many swimmers became household names in their home countries as they lit up the Aquatics Centre.
“We want to build on that success and to keep it going we are aiming for a big media presence.
