    France to send 14 athletes to Sochi 2014 Paralympics

    Great Britain announce Sochi 2014 alpine team

    France finished in 10th place on the medals table at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympics with one gold, four silvers and a bronze, making for six medals in total.

    France have announced a 14-strong team that will represent the country at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games from 7-16 March.

    The team will be made up of 10 alpine skiers, two Nordic skiers and a guide, and a snowboarder.

    The biggest names in the delegation include two alpine skiers – six-time world champion Marie Bochet and three-time Paralympic medallist Vincent Gauthier-Manuel. Both are looking to win multiple medals in the women’s and men’s standing classes, respectively.

    France finished in 10th place on the medals table at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympics with one gold, four silvers and a bronze, making for six medals in total.
