Doha 2015 Newsletter - Incredible support: Al-Kass

Launched in 2005, the multi-award winning 24 hour sports channel Al-Kass is the official host broadcaster of the Doha 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships – adding yet another major international sporting event to the channels every-growing repertoire.

The Al-Kass channel will air the Doha 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships live over its 10-day run, utilizing its expertise in broadcast to ensure flawless coverage of the premier para-athletics event.

Originally launched as part of Qatar TV and to cover H.H. The Emir’s Football Cup (with “Al-Kass” Arabic for “The Cup”), the massive success of the channel saw its independence in 2006 after which its continued exceptional coverage and programming earned it numerous accolades.

Among the Al-Kass Channel’s awards is the Persian Gulf Sports Channel of the year award in 2007, as well as best host for its key presenter Khalid Jassim, and two awards at the Promax BDA awards held in New York in 2008.

The Channel, which broadcasts across the entire Middle East region thanks to the Nilesat and BADR satellites, has most notably covered the 2006 Asian Games, FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, the AFC Asian Cup, and the Persian Gulf Cup of Nations.

الكأس

أُطلقت قناة الكأس الرياضية الحائزة على العديد من الجوائز في عام 2005 ،وهي القناة الرسمية لاستضافة بطولة العالم لألعاب القوى لذوي الإعاقة الدوحة 2015 ،برعاية اللجنة البارلمبية الدولية، وتقدم للجماهير حدثاً رياضياً عالمياً استكمالاً لمسيرتها وريادتها.

ستتولى قناة الكأس بث فعاليات بطولة العالم لألعاب القوى لذوي الإعاقة الدوحة 2015 طوال فترة انعقاد البطولة على مدار 10 أيام، بالاستفادة من خبرتها الواسعة في مجال البث لضمان توفير أرقى مستويات التغطية لهذا الحدث الرياضي المرموق.

أُطلقت قناة الكأس في البداية كجزءٍ من تلفزيون قطر، ولتغطية كأس سمو الأمير المفدى لكرة القدم، وحققت نجاحاً كبيراً عند استقلالها في عام 2006 ،حيث واصلت بعد ذلك تقديم تغطيتها وبرامجها الاستثنائية وحازت على العديد من الجوائز.

ومن بين الجوائز التي حازت عليها قناة الكأس جائزة أفضل قناة رياضية خليجية فارسية في عام 2007، كما تم منح جائزة أفضل مُضيف لمقدم برامجها الرئيسي خالد جاسم، هذا بالإضافة إلى الفوز بجائزتين في حفل توزيع جوائز بروماكس بي دي إيه الذي عُقد في نيويورك في عام 2008.

وقد غطت القناة، التي تبث برامجها في منطقة الشرق الأوسط بأسرها عبر القمرين الصناعيين نايل سات وبدر، العديد من الفعاليات كان أبرزها دورة الألعاب الآسيوية 2006، والمباريات المؤهلة لتصفيات كأس العالم لكرة القدم، وكأس آسيا برعاية الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، وكأس الخليج الفارسي.
