French World Championships bronze medallist Tanguy De La Forest secured his first IPC Shooting World Cup win of 2016 on Tuesday (26 January) in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

De La Forest won individual gold in R4 (mixed 10m air rifle standing SH2) whilst Great Britain claimed the team crown.

The Frenchman registered a stunning penultimate round in which he outscored South Korea’s Dongan Park to take the lead with two 10.8s.

Park dropped down to a 9.8 and 9.9, leaving De La Forest with one round to secure the victory. He finished with a double 10.6, compared to Park’s 10.4 and 10.1, to grab gold.

De La Forest finished with 211.0 points against Park’s 209.4.

Great Britain’s Richard Davies (188.9) took bronze.

Davies’ performance contributed to Great Britain’s win in the team R4, alongside Ryan Cockbill and Tim Jefferey.

The trio’s combined score of 1889.3 saw them lead Slovenia’s Gorazd Francek Tirsek, Veselka Pevec and Damjan Pavlin (1885.3) into second place.

Park was the highest scorer for third placed South Korea (1880.0), followed by Jiseok Lee and then Seungpyo Beak.

Full results, including live results from each day, are available at the IPC Shooting's website.

Competition concludes in Al Ain on Wednesday (27 January) with R5 (mixed 10m air rifle prone SH2), R6 (mixed 50m rifle prone SH1) and P4 (mixed 50m pistol SH1).
