Canada complete sledge sweep of Norway

The Canadians outscored Norway, 26-3, in the three games, including a 10-0 win in the series opener on Thursday a 9-2 victory on Friday. Canada has now won nine in a row over the Norwegians.
Greg Westlake and Karl Ludwig both scored hat tricks as Canada’s ice sledge hockey team completed a three-game sweep of Norway with a 7-1 win on Saturday (19 January).
The Canadians outscored Norway, 26-3, in the three games, including a 10-0 win in the series opener on Thursday a 9-2 victory on Friday. Canada has now won nine in a row over the Norwegians.
Billy Bridges had the other goal for Canada in the final game, giving him 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in the three games, including a nine-point performance in Thursday’s series opener.
Westlake added an assist to his three goals, while Tyler McGregor (Forest, Ont.) and Brad Bowden had two helpers apiece.
Jan Roger Klakegg scored the lone goal for Norway, converting on a power play midway through the second period.
Benoit St-Amand stopped nine shots in the Canadian goal for his third win in as many days, while Norwegian netminder Kjell Christian Hamar finished off a busy series with 18 saves.
