IPC’s Cody named to 2018 Co-ordination Commission

IPC Governing Board member Ann Cody will serve this year on the IOC Co-ordination Commission for PyeongChang 2018.
IPC Governing Board member Ann Cody has been appointed as a member of the IOC Co-ordination Commission for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games.
As the lone Paralympic representative on the Commission, Cody, who was appointed by IOC President Jacques Rogge, will oversee the progress of Paralympic-specific milestones for PyeongChang 2018, particularly those that relate to accessibility, athlete and awareness issues.
The PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games will take place from 9-18 March.
Cody, who is from the USA, previously served on the Evaluation Commission for the 2018 Winter Games and visited the final three bid cities: Munich, Germany; Annecy, France; and PyeongChang, Korea. She is a Paralympic Games medallist herself, having competed in wheelchair basketball at the 1984 Games and athletics and the 1998 and 1992 Games.
Cody currently serves as the Director of Policy and Global Outreach for BlazeSports, a Paralympic sport club in the USA. She has been a member of the IPC Governing Board since 2005.
