The medals for the Toronto 1976 Paralympic Games built on the design of the earlier ones.

On one side, the medal featured a motif of six petals coming together in a central hexagon, with each of the petals displaying three interlocking wheels (the logo of the International Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Sports Federation). This is crowned by the words “Everyone Wins” and encircled by “1976 Toronto Olympiad” written in braille.

The other side featured an enlarged petal with the three rings and displayed the official name of the event: the 1976 Olympiad for the Physically Disabled.
