Coaching

World Para Swimming welcomes all qualified individuals who would like to participate in coaching education programmes. The World Para Swimming Introduction to Coaching Programme is designed for swim coaches that are just getting into coaching Para swimming or coaches who have been coaching Para swimmers for some years but are looking to advance their skill level.

Please refer to the calendar below to find out more about the Introduction to Coaching Programmes that are currently planned and the corresponding application forms.

If you are interested in participating in coaching education programmes but cannot find a programme in your region or for your level of knowledge please fill out the document “WPS Expression of Interest to participate in education programmes”. The World Para Swimming team will review your documentation and, if you are eligible for participation, add your name to a candidate register for future programmes.

World Para Swimming welcomes initiatives from National Paralympic Committees, National Federations and Local Organising Committees to host education programmes. If you are interested in hosting World Para Swimming education programmes please use the documents provided in the download section on the left hand side for guidance.

World Para Swimming envisions to creating a second coaching course in the coming years, which will be an advanced level coaching course. That course will target coaches that are working with/ are interested in working with their elite national team.
