Coaches play a vital role in the development of an athlete in para powerlifting and the overall growth of the sport. They are the experts in para powerlifting athlete development, technique and strategy, and help an athlete grow and succeed in para powerlifting. Coaches train and motivate athletes ahead and during para powerlifting competitions.

Participating in Coach Course
The requirements to participate in a Coach Course are simple; candidates must be coaching para powerlifting competitively or have an interest in the sport.
To participate in a course, complete and submit the document "Expression of Interest to Participate in WPPO Education Programmes".
Hosting a Coach Course
The Coach Course is offered at the introductory and elite levels, and provides participants entry or advanced instruction to successfully comprehend, train athletes and compete under the Technical and Classification Rules and Regulations. The course details coaching, tactical and training philososhies and features a variety of lectures, discussions and practical sessions.
