World Para Powerlifting, in cooperation with its education partners, IPC Academy and World Academy of Sport, is committed to the continued learning of all parties within the Paralympic Movement. On the different pages of our education website you will find a variety of information related to technical official, classifier, coach and anti-doping education and upcoming courses.

If you are interested in participating in an education course, please complete and submit the document “Participant Expression of Interest to Participate in WPPO Education Programmes Form." The World Para Powerlifting staff will support you in finding the correct course.

To learn more about the Paralympic Movement in general, the IPC Academy and World Academy of Sport (WAoS) offer the following online courses:

Online Course: IPC Introduction to Para Sport (available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian)- This introductory course is free to register and is open for everybody who wants to learn more about the IPC and the Paralympic Movement. You might be an athlete, a coach, a referee, sport medical practitioner, event organiser or generally just an interested supporter of Paralympic Sport or the Paralympic Games looking to test their knowledge. Cost: Free

Online Course: IPC Coaching Para Sport – an introductory programme (available in English and Spanish) - This course is designed for coaches who have previous experience in training able-bodied athletes and now are shifting to train athletes with impairments. Para sport training requires extensive knowledge and skills in many fields such as training principles, exercise physiology and sports psychology. Cost: 53.50 EUR.
