Skarstein’s reasons to watch PyeongChang 2018

Birgit Skarstein is aiming to compete in her second Paralympic Winter Games within just 18 months at PyeongChang 2018.
The Norwegian competes in both rowing and skiing and finished fourth in the single sculls rowing at Rio 2016. But she is now fully focused on the winter season.
She won two medals at the World Championships, as well as a medal at every World Cup last season. After finishing sixth in the cross-country world rankings, she’ll have high hopes for a medal in South Korea.

“It’s extremely exciting because the races are so tight – it will be interesting to see who can do the best and win.”

“As a world, we need to be more united – to see that we can be together in one world and that we’re connected. Sport unites people – you can cheer for all the teams and get to know others’ teams.”
The Paralympic Winter Games will take place in PyeongChang from 9-18 March 2018.
