In just his second full Para Nordic skiing season, Taras Rad finished second in the men’s biathlon sitting World Cup rankings.
He also secured three silver medals at the World Championships at Finsterau earlier this year in the sprint, middle and long distance races, showing his ability to compete across the board at this level.
Furthermore, Rad won golds at both his home World Cup at Western Center, Ukraine, as well as at the opening event of the season in Vuokatti, Finland.
Having finished tenth in the biathlon rankings the season before, if he continues to improve at this rate he will be a strong contender for medals at PyeongChang 2018. Rad shares three reasons why you should watch the Paralympic Winter Games.
