It is two days to go to the end of the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games and there is a lot of action on Saturday (17 March).

    Alpine skiing - Men's slalom

Croatia's first gold medal in PyeongChang came in the men's slalom sitting with Dino Sokolovic. USA's Tyler Walker took the silver medal and France's Frederic Francois took bronze.

It was also first gold for New Zealand. Adam Hall won the men's slalom standing finishing 0.39 seconds ahead of France's Arthur Bauchet. The bronze went to USA's Jamie Stantion.

Italy's Giacomo Bertagnolli, guided by Fabrizio Casal, won his second gold in PyeongChang, this time in the men's slalom vision impaired. Silver went to Slovakia's Jakub Krako (guide Branislav Brozman) and bronze to Neutral Paralympic Athlete Valerii Redkozubov (guide Evgeny Geroev).

    Cross-country - 5km/7.5km/10km

On the penultimate day of competition, hosts South Korea won a historic first ever gold medal at the Paralympic Winter Games thanks to Eui Hyun Sin in the men's 7.5km sitting. Sin, who won bronze over 15km on Sunday, was 5.3 seconds quicker than his closet rival Daniel Cnossen of the USA in silver. Ukraine's Maksym Yarovyi took the bronze.

Oksana Masters got the better of Germany's Andrea Eskau in the women's sitting over 5km, the US skier's second gold of PyeongChang 2018. Neutral Paralympic Athlete Marta Zainullina completed the podium.

Canada's Brian McKeever (guide Graham Nishikawa) was the clear winner in the men's 10km classic vision impaired race, taking the gold 75 seconds ahead of the USA's silver medallist Jake Adicoff (guide Sawyer Kesselheim). Yury Holub (guide Dzmitry Budzilovich) of Belarus picked up bronze.

After golds in alpine skiing and snowboard, Japan won its third gold of the Games courtesy of Yoshihiro Nitta in the men's standing race. He finished 8.7 seconds ahead of Ukraine's Grygorii Vovchynskyi in silver and 20.3 seconds ahead of Canada's Mark Arendz in bronze.

Two Canadians made the podium in the women's standing event over 7.5km, a thrilling race that saw just 1.7 seconds between the medallists. Natalie Wilkie took the gold while her teammate Emily Young claimed bronze. In between the two Canadians was silver medallist and Neutral Paralympic Athlete Ekaterina Rumyantseva.

Sviatlana Sakhanenka (guide Raman Yashchanka) claimed another gold medal for Belarus in the women's vision impaired class. More than half a minute behind in silver was Neutral Paralympic Athlete Mikhalina Lysova (guide Alexey Ivanov). Bronze went to Austria's Carina Edlinger.

    Para ice hockey

A goal by Dong Shin Jang with just 3:18 left on the clock of the final period broke the deadlock to give hosts South Korea the bronze medal win over Italy. Played in front of the country's President and a capacity crowd, South Korea matched its bronze medal winning performance from last year's World Championships.

    Wheelchair curling

China wins its first ever Paralympic Winter Games medal and it is gold. The Chinese beat Norway 6-5 in the wheelchair curling final. Next Games are on home soil in Beijing 2022.

Canada beat South Korea 5-3 to take bronze and end the hosts dream of a medal in front of the passionate home crowd at the Gangneung Curling Centre.
