PyeongChang 2018: Day 4 preview

Alpine skiing super-combined and biathlon middle distance competitions will be contested on Tuesday (13 March). The Para ice hockey group stage will conclude and wheelchair curling round robin will continue.
Super-combined events across all male and female classes will take place on day four at the Jeongseon Alpine Centre.
Germany’s Anna Schaffelhuber in the women’s sitting and France’s Marie Bochet in the women’s standing will start as favourites to defend the gold medals in their categories. Slovakia’s Henrieta Farkasova will be the woman to beat in the vision impaired.
In the men’s events, NPA athletes Valerii Redkozubov in vision impaired and Alexey Bugaev in standing will be also looking for their second successive super-combined title.
USA´s Andrew Kurka, Norway’s Jesper Pedersen and Japan´s Taiki Morii will be among the leading candidates in the men´s sitting category.
The Alpensia Biathlon Centre will stage the biathlon middle distance races. USA, NPA, French and Ukrainian biathletes will again be among the gold medal contenders after dominating the sprint events on 10 March.
Some of the NPA´s big names include four-time Paralympic champion Mikhalina Lysova in the women’s vision impaired and multiple Paralympic gold medallist Roman Petushkov in the men’s sitting.
USA are hoping to celebrate through Oksana Masters or Kendall Gretsch in the women´s sitting, and Daniel Cnossen in the men´s equivalent. France's Benjamin Daviet (men´s standing) and Ukraine's Vitaliy Lukyanenko (men´s vision impaired) are others to look out for.
Reigning Paralympic champions USA will play against South Korea at 12:00 p.m. (KST) to determine Group B´s winner and runner-up. Norway and Sweden will face-off at 3:30 p.m. (KST) to decide the third and fourth-placed in Group A, while Czech Republic vs. Japan will close the day at the Gangneung Hockey Centre at 7:00 p.m. (KST).
The Gangneung Curling Centre will again stage 12 matches: Finland vs. South Korea, Norway vs. Sweden, NPA vs. Slovakia, China vs. Canada, USA vs. China, Great Britain vs. Slovakia, Sweden vs. Germany, Finland vs. Switzerland, NPA vs. Great Britain, Canada vs. USA, Switzerland vs. South Korea, Germany vs. Norway.
