    Ottobock becomes Official Supplier of World Para Athletics

    Company to provide technical services to athletes during 2018 European Championships

    Ottobock, the world-leading supplier of innovative solutions for people with limited mobility, has been announced as the Official Supplier of World Para Athletics.

    The partnership agreement includes the Berlin 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships which will be held from 20-26 August.

    Under the partnership, Ottobock will continue to provide technical services to athletes at the European Championships through the Ottobock Repair Service Centre.

    "We are proud to support all Para athletics athletes with our technical services and let them show their best performances at the Berlin 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships.”

    Highly experienced technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of the athletes’ equipment ensuring they can get back to training and competition as soon as possible.

    It includes the repairing of every type of equipment, from prostheses to racing wheelchairs and throwing frames – or any type of device athletes may need.

    Ottobock has been involved in previous World and European Championships such as the London 2017 World Para Athletics Championships. The company is the longest serving partner of the Paralympic Games, offering technical services since Seoul 1988.

    Haozhe Gao, World Para Athletics Senior Manager said: “We are delighted to announce Ottobock as World Para Athletics Official Supplier and to count on Ottobock’s support at the European Championships in Berlin. The company has been an important partner for many years and athletes will once again benefit from its invaluable services during the competition.”

    Ottobock’s Chief Marketing Officer, Christin Gunkel said: “For Ottobock it is very important to let the athletes focusing on their competition not their equipment, which is highly professional and individual in the disciplines of Para athletics. We are proud to support all Para athletics athletes with our technical services and let them show their best performances at the Berlin 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships.”
