In the summer, 21-year-old Lisa Bunschoten swaps her snowboard for a mountain bike. That is just one of the few hobbies the Dutch double-silver Worlds medallist likes to do in the off season:

    Mountain biking

"I do it for training, but I really like to do it at the weekends, to find new tracks, and to use it as training. It’s a sport in nature too, as well."

    Friends and family

"Doing fun things with friends, family, and my boyfriend (four-time Dutch world champion Chris Vos). I don’t see them that much in the winter, so I really enjoy being with them in the summer, and do fun things, and just enjoy being together."

    Travelling

“I love travelling and exploring new places and cities, new cultures. I’ve been to Big White [Canada, host of the 2017 World Championships] four or five times now, but I only saw the mountains, and I would love to go from Vancouver to Calgary next year after the [PyeongChang 2018] Games, just travel and see everything there. I’m looking forward to it. New York was favourite place to have visited so far. I liked that it was a really big city with a lot of people and a lot of inspirational things. I really liked that there were a lot of parks and [sport activities] in the city.”
