La Molina, Spain, will host an extended World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup from 10-16 March. It follows the cancellation of the upcoming World Cup event in Espot, Spain that would have begun on 3 March.

The La Molina World Cup will begin with three super-G events on 10 and 11 March followed by a rest day.

Competition will then conclude with two giant slalom and one slalom events from 14 to 16 March.

The rescheduling of the alpine event means La Molina will stage two weeks of snow sports action, with the next World Para Snowboard World Cup taking place there from 4 to 8 March.

The final stop of the Para alpine skiing season will be Morzine, France, where the World Cup Finals take place from 19 to 21 March.

France’s Marie Bochet (standing), Austria’s Claudia Loesch (sitting) and Slovakia’s Henrieta Farkasova (vision impaired) are the current Women’s World Cup champions.

Switzerland’s Theo Gmur (standing), Norway’s Jesper Pedersen (sitting) and Canada’s Mac Marcoux (vision impaired) are the defending champions in the Men’s World Cup.
