World Para Snowboard has announced the official competition calendar for the 2018/2019 season.

There will be six World Cups – two more than last season – as well as the 2019 World Championships.

The season-opener will also be a first for the sport, as Dubai, United Arab Emirates, hosts their first World Para Snowboard World Cup from 7-8 November.

A more familiar venue will return for the second World Cup, as Landgraaf, Netherlands, hosts the competition from 15-16 November. The Dutch city has been part of the World Cup season since 2012.

The next event will take place in Pyha, Finland, from 30 November to 2 December.

Host city of the World Cup finals last season, Big White, Canada, will receive the fourth World Cup of the 2018/2019 season from 2-7 February.

La Molina, Spain, will be the next stop from 4-8 March. The city hosted the 2015 World Championships and returns to the World Cup circuit for the first time since the 2016/17 season.

Snowboard then returns to Pyha for the biggest competition of the year, the 2019 World Championships from 25 March-1 April.

The season wraps up with the World Cup Finals in Klovsjo, Sweden, from 2-10 April. As with Dubai, this will be the first time the city has hosted a World Cup.

More information can be found on the World Para Snowboard website.
