The 2019 World Para Dance Sport Championships in Bonn, Germany, received a major boost locally, thanks to the sponsorship of one of the country’s largest private funding organisation Aktion Mensch.

The German social organisation distributes lottery revenues in the form of grant monies to improve living conditions of people with an impairment. Well-known for funding Para sport events throughout the country, Aktion Mensch will play an important factor in ensuring Bonn’s first Para sport World Championship will be one to remember.

Along with the cooperation of the City of Bonn, Bonn 2019 is set to make a lasting impact to the home of the Paralympic Movement as it kicks off 29 November to 1 December.

"As we both share similar missions, we now have an opportunity to do something very special at the home of the Paralympic Movement"

Camila Rodrigues, World Para Dance Sport Manager, said: “We are excited to partner with Aktion Mensch and know their support will play a huge role in the success of the World Para Dance Sport Championships.

“Aktion Mensch has a great reputation in supporting projects aimed at making for a more inclusive society for people with an impairment. As we both share similar missions, we now have an opportunity to do something very special at the home of the Paralympic Movement.”

Headquarters of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), Bonn will host its first Para sport World Championships, welcoming more than 210 athletes from 20 countries.
