The Lagoa Stadium, located in the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, staged on Saturday (10 September) the repechages to decide the boats that will compete in tomorrow’s finals.

In the women’s singles sculls (ASW1x), Israel’s Samuel Moran and Belarus’ Liudmila Vauchok finished first and second, respectively, in the repechage A and qualified for the final A, as did Norway’s Birgit Skarstein and Brazil’s Claudia Santos, the top-two rowers of the repechage B.

In tomorrow’s final, they will join China’s Lili Wang and Great Britain’s Rachel Morris, who had won their respective heats on Friday.

China’s Cheng Huang, Brazil’s Rene Pereira, Great Britain’s Tom Aggar and USA’s Blake Haxton qualified for the men’s singles sculls (ASM1x) final A from the repechage and will row for gold against Ukraine’s Roman Poliansky and Australia’s Erik Horrie.

Tomorrow’s mixed double sculls (TAMix2x) final A will feature crews from Poland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, China and Ukraine.

In the mixed coxed four (LTAMix4+), South Africa, Germany, USA, Great Britain, Canada and China made it to the final A and will decide the medal-winners this Sunday at 10.50 local time.
