    2018 Wheelchair Rugby Worlds seedings revealed

    The draws for August’s IWRF World Championships will be held on 27 April

    The qualification process is complete and the team seedings have been revealed for the GIO 2018 International Wheelchair Rugby Federation (IWRF) Wheelchair Rugby World Championship.

    The final four teams were decided earlier this month at Qualification Tournament in Nottwil, Switzerland.

    Now, the draw for the GIO 2018 IWRF Wheelchair Rugby World Championship will take place at Bondi Beach, Australia, on 27 April. Based on the current IWRF World Ranking List, the seed list for the draw will be as follows:

    1. AUSTRALIA

    2. UNITED STATES

    3. CANADA

    4. JAPAN

    5. GREAT BRITAIN

    6. SWEDEN

    7. FRANCE

    8. NEW ZEALAND

    9. DENMARK

    10. COLOMBIA

    11. POLAND

    12. IRELAND

    Based on the Qualification Rules for the World Championship, qualification slots for August’s World Championships are as follows:

    1. Host Country, 2018 IWRF World Championship:

    2. Gold medal winner, Rio 2016 Paralympic Games:

    AUSTRALIA – Already qualified, reallocated to Qualification Tournament

    3. First place country, 2017 IWRF Americas Championship

    UNITED STATES

    4. Second place country, 2017 IWRF Americas Championship

    CANADA

    5. First place country, 2017 IWRF European Championship Division A

    GREAT BRITAIN

    6. Second place country, 2017 IWRF European Championship Division A

    SWEDEN

    7. Third place country, 2017 IWRF European Championship Division A

    FRANCE

    8. Fourth place country, 2017 IWRF European Championship Division A
